John Freiburger is the history and technical intellect of MCC. He started working with Peter von Halem of New England Carriage Imports, bringing quality Poj-Kon vehicles to the US. When Peter retired, John asked the Rhineharts to join him in the business, and Midwest Custom Carriages was created with Peter’s help and John’s know-how. John has a long and varied experience with carriage driving in both pleasure driving and combined driving as a competitor, licenced judge, as well as show organizer. He has also served as President of the American Driving Society. He and his wife, Betsy, also operate Hickory Knoll Farm.
